Mojave Rattlesnake (Crotalus scutulatus)

They are medium-sized, heavy-bodied snakes. They generally measure from 45 cm to 90 cm. The longest known are around 130 cm. The background color of these snakes can be greenish gray, olive brown, yellowish green or brown. The color depends on the environment. The spots on the back are diamond-shaped or oval to hexagonal and dark gray, or brown with light edges, fading toward the tail. The tail has light gray and black rings, the light rings being noticeably wider than the black rings. On the head, a dark stripe with light edges runs from the eye down to the corner of the mouth.

 

Habitat:
Inhabits dry, desert, temperate or humid climates.

Location:
It is located mainly in scrub areas where it can easily find prey.
