
Rock pocket mouse (Chaetodipus intermedius)
The pocket mouse, found in the deserts of the southwestern United States and Mexico, is medium-sized (~18 cm long, ~12-18 g in weight) and has nocturnal habits.
Habitat:
It usually lives in areas with rocky outcrops, where it burrows to evade its predators.
Diet:
It feeds mainly on plant seeds.
Location:
Areas with rocky outcrops throughout Islas del Mar.
