
Sea lavender – (Limonium perezii)
This is a hardy perennial herb (that lives for more than two years) that grows from a tree-lined rhizome (underground stem that has rices and shoots horizontally). The leaves are oval thick up to about 30 centimeters in length. The small lavender flower has white petals.
Habitat:
From the southern coast of California and northern Sonora, where it is a non-native species that can sometimes be seen increasingly around beaches and roadsides.
