Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera)

Common name palm (or palm) is a palm whose edible fruit is the date, with a height of up to 30 m and 20 to 50 cm wide, covered with the remains of old leaves. Spiny leaves, 1,5 to 5 m long. its formal appearance and the ease of taking care of the date plant makes it an excellent choice for landscapers.

If you live in a warm, dry and arid climate, the date palm can fit perfectly into your landscape. These elegant palms can grow up to 20m. This palm has become very popular since 1970 in the arid states of North America. Often found in Southern California and Arizona.
